The mass importation of unvetted dogs into the U.S. from foreign countries is both a health and humane nightmare.

The Covid-19 virus has brought into sharper relief the care that must be taken to avoid spreading communicable illnesses and parasites. Whether it is brucellosis, rabies, leptospirosis, Leishmaniasis, canine flu, or tick-borne illnesses, these are all preventable illnesses, but only when common-sense and proper vetting are applied.
